بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

1بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ لِإِيلَٰفِ قُرَيْشٍ

Li-ilaafi quraish

For the accustomed security of the Quraysh -

2إِۦلَٰفِهِمْ رِحْلَةَ ٱلشِّتَآءِ وَٱلصَّيْفِ

Elaafihim rihlatash shitaa-i wass saif

Their accustomed security [in] the caravan of winter and summer -

3فَلْيَعْبُدُوا۟ رَبَّ هَٰذَا ٱلْبَيْتِ

Fal y'abudu rabba haazal-bait

Let them worship the Lord of this House,

4ٱلَّذِىٓ أَطْعَمَهُم مِّن جُوعٍۢ وَءَامَنَهُم مِّنْ خَوْفٍۭ

Allazi at'amahum min ju'inw-wa-aamana hum min khawf

Who has fed them, [saving them] from hunger and made them safe, [saving them] from fear.

About This Surah

Quraysh is a Meccan surah of 4 verses honoring the tribe of Quraysh, custodians of the Kaaba, for their security and their biannual caravans of summer and winter trade. It commands them to worship the Lord of this House who fed them against hunger and granted them safety, as gratitude for these blessings.
