An-Naml 27:89

SAHIH
مَن جَآءَ بِٱلْحَسَنَةِ فَلَهُۥ خَيْرٌۭ مِّنْهَا وَهُم مِّن فَزَعٍۢ يَوْمَئِذٍ ءَامِنُونَ

Whoever comes [at Judgement] with a good deed will have better than it, and they, from the terror of that Day, will be safe.

Man jaaa'a bilhasanati falahoo khairum minhaa wa hum min faza'iny Yawma'izin aaminoon

Tafsir Ibn Kathir — Isma'il ibn Umar Ibn Kathir

<h2>The Terrors of the Day of Resurrection, the Rewards for Good Deeds and the Punishments for Evil Deed</h2><p>Allah tells us about the terrors of the Day when the Sur will be blown. The Sur, as described in the Hadith, is,</p><p>«قَرْنٌ يُنْفَخُ فِيه»</p><p>(a horn which is blown into.) According to the Hadith about the Sur (Trumpet), it is (the angel) Israfil who will blow into it by the command of Allah, may He be exalted. He will blow into it for the first time, for a long time. This will signal the end of the life of this world, and the Hour will come upon the most evil of people ever to live. Everyone who is in the heavens and on earth will be terrified,</p><p>إِلاَّ مَن شَآءَ اللَّهُ</p><p>(except him whom Allah wills.) these are the martyrs, for they are alive, with their Lord, and being provided for. Whoso bringeth a good deed will have better than its worth; and such are safe from fear that Day.

YUSUF-ALI

If any do good, good will (accrue) to them therefrom; and they will be secure from terror that Day.

HILALI-KHAN

Whoever brings a good deed (i.e. Belief in the Oneness of Allah along with every deed of righteousness), will have better than its worth, and they will be safe from the terror on that Day.

Whoever brings a virtue will receive better than it—and they will be safe from the horrors of that Day.
