Au nom d'Allah, le Tout Miséricordieux, le Très Miséricordieux

Qul a'uzoo bi rabbil-falaq

Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak

Min sharri ma khalaq

From the evil of that which He created

Wa min sharri ghasiqin iza waqab

And from the evil of darkness when it settles

Wa min sharrin-naffaa-thaati fil 'uqad

And from the evil of the blowers in knots

Wa min shar ri haasidin iza hasad

And from the evil of an envier when he envies."

À propos de cette sourate

Al-Falaq (The Daybreak) is a Meccan surah of 5 verses in which the believer seeks refuge in the Lord of the daybreak from the evils of creation, darkness, those who blow on knots (sorcerers), and the envy of the envious. Together with An-Nas, it forms the Mu'awwidhatayn, the two protective surahs recited for shelter from harm.
